With over 37 years of experience in the financing, leasing, and selling of commercial aircraft portfolios, Jaime Infante currently is at AvCap Partners LLC, an advisory and investment firm he co-founded in 1997 that specializes in the acquisition, lease, sale, financing, and management of commercial aircraft.


Recently, he has advised various private equity funds in the purchase of commercial aircraft portfolios from a publicly traded lessor.  In the last three years,  he has advised institutional sellers and buyers on the sale and purchase  of 20 commercial aircraft leased to airlines such as  Atlas Air, Scoot, SpiceJet,  FedEx, United Airlines and Southwest. 


In addition,  he assisted two institutional clients on the sale of three A320-200s leased to USAIR, four 737-300s leased to Southwest Airlines and on the purchase of two CRJ-1000s leased to Air Nostrum,  two CRJ-900s leased to Adria Airways and one CRJ 700 leased to Jazz Air.


He worked on several projects as a consultant to Lazard Freres & Co., including the sale of A340-300s owned by the Hellenic Republic and the strategic disposition of an aircraft portfolio valued in excess of $1 billion. In addition, he arranged the sale of six aircraft leased to US and Canadian airlines for several clients in the US and the UK.


He worked as an advisor to Montrose & Co. on aircraft acquisitions and dispositions. Montrose is an equipment lease company with approximately $6 billion in assets under management owned by the Bank of America. At Montrose, he arranged the purchase of four Iberia A320 aircraft for a US lessor, the sale of an ex-Swissair A319 for a German bank, the sale of three 737NG aircraft leased to Continental Airlines for a New York real estate firm, and two MD-88s leased to Delta. He provided financial advisory services to a bondholder group for a portfolio of 60 commercial aircraft.


At AvCap, he sold a fleet of commercial aircraft owned by the PSG Group with a market value of $100 million. He also acted as co-manager in the sale of a portfolio of commercial aircraft leases and loans owned by American Express Bank Ltd. with a market value in excess of $300 million. These aircraft consisted of narrow body and wide body aircraft sold to institutions in the United States, Europe, and Japan.


Other accomplishments include the purchase, conversion, and lease of three freighter aircraft to Emery Worldwide and the sale of aircraft and Secured Notes owned by the Kanematsu Group for $150 million. He was advisor to funds purchasing Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates and secured airline debt and to a US leasing company on the acquisition of four aircraft leased to Continental Airlines.


Mr. Infante acted as consultant to Lazard Freres & Co. in the valuation of the FINOVA transportation portfolio during its bankruptcy. He also acted as consultant to Radian Asset Assurance Inc. on the valuation of a fleet of commercial aircraft.


Prior to AvCap, Mr. Infante was Senior Director of the Aircraft Leasing Group of American Express Bank Ltd. and was with American Express from 1980 until 1996. At American Express, Mr. Infante was responsible for originating and structuring aircraft lease and finance transactions. He closed transactions for new and used aircraft in excess of several hundred million dollars in Asia, South American, and the Middle East. His team financed, acquired, and leased a portfolio of 100 commercial aircraft to 30 airlines worldwide.


Mr. Infante has substantial experience in cross-border leasing structures, debt and equity placement, and aircraft acquisitions and dispositions.


He received his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is based in New York.

Based in New York, Mr. Rentschler is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the University of Chicago (MBA). In 1979, he joined American Express Bank Ltd. where he was Executive Director and Group Head of the Aircraft Leasing Group until 1996.


At American Express, Mr. Rentschler was responsible for its international aircraft finance and leasing business. The Business grew to 12 professionals actively managing over 100 aircraft valued at over US $1 billion leased and/or financed for approximately 25 airlines and operating lessors worldwide. In this capacity, he acquires substantial expertise in aircraft acquisition, the sale of aircraft on operating lease, lease negotiation and structuring, and debt and equity placement.


Prior to joining American Express, he served as Treasurer, and later, after starting and managing a joint venture leasing company in Japan, as Vice-President-International of Greyhound Leasing.

Mr. Antonio Infante has been with AvCap Partners since mid-2009, to grow and diversify AvCap's business potential. He is a member of the Keiretsu Forum, the world's largest angel investor network with over 850 accredited investor members throughout twenty-one chapters on three continents, and which permits him to collaborate with his peer members in the due diligence of startup companies, and other high growth potential investment segments. He has a 33-year IT industry background, having been affiliated with Charles Schwab & Co. in San Francisco, CA, for 13 years until early 2009, with Visa International in San Mateo, CA, for two years, and with Bank of America in San Francisco, CA, for thirteen years. Mr. Antonio Infante has an MBA degree from the Wharton School of Business and Finance at the University of Pennsylvania specializing in Investment Management, and an Executive MBA degree from the School of Economics and Business Administration at St. Mary's College of California focusing on International Business.
